Uniteam and its subsidiary WinCat have a series of development activities underway for the application of RFID transponders (TAG) to the most varied market sectors, ranging from industry to public and private services and banks.
A RFID system is the whole of the technological components providing a solution for automatic data identification and acquisition without any need for direct or visual contact between the components, making feasible otherwise impossible applications (a convincing example is Telepass, the electronic motorway toll-charge system).
The TAG used are low-, medium- and high-frequency, implementing anti-collision techniques to make selective dialogue possible with a multiplicity of TAG present in the electromagnetic field of action.
The TAG are physically joined to the good that must be identified, enriching the information content throughout its existence. The good gets identified whenever it is in the proximity of a RFID Terminal, making it possible to retrace every piece of information concerning the same good.
The RFID Terminal is able to interact with management information systems, linking the good (the information that characterises it) with the management logic of the process, allowing optimum performance and the possibility of adapting the process to the characteristics of the good identified.
